How claiming works

We check at quote stage

Your quote form answers tell us which scheme applies to your home, business or school, and your fixed quote comes back with the grant shown. No research needed on your side.

You apply, we do the paperwork

The schemes need the application to come from you, with our dated quote attached. It is a short online form, we walk you through it, and once it is approved we book the install.

The grant comes off your invoice

After the install we submit the claim as your OZEV-authorised installer. The grant is paid to us, so you only ever pay the price with it already deducted.

Good to know

Grant schemes change as the government reviews them. The household, landlord and workplace rates all rose from £350 to £500 on 1 April 2026, and the separate EV infrastructure grant closed the day before. The figures here were checked in September 2026, and we confirm the current position for your address with every quote.

Find out what you can claim

The quote form asks the right questions. Your fixed price comes back with any grant already deducted.

EV charger grant questions

Which EV charger grant applies to me?

It depends on who you are, not what you drive. Renters, flat owners and on-street households claim the EV chargepoint grant. Landlords claim the landlord grant for rental properties. Businesses, charities and home-based business owners claim the Workplace Charging Scheme, and state-funded schools claim the uplifted school rate. Each has its own page above, and the quote form works it out for you anyway.

Can homeowners with a driveway get an EV charger grant?

Usually not. The home grant closed to homeowners in standard houses in April 2022. It still covers renters, flat owners and homes without off-street parking. If you own a house with a driveway, our fixed fitted prices from £916 are the full story, with nothing added on the day. The one exception is if you run a business from home, which can qualify for the Workplace Charging Scheme.

How is the grant paid?

You never handle the money. The installer claims the grant, so we deduct it from your quote up front and recover it from the scheme ourselves. The price you approve is the price you pay.

Do I apply for the grant, or do you?

You do, and we do the rest. Every scheme needs the application to come from the customer, with a dated quote from an OZEV-authorised installer attached. It is a short online form and we walk you through it. Once approved, we install, submit the claim and receive the grant, so it simply comes off your invoice. A DIY or unapproved installation can never be grant-funded, which is why choosing an authorised installer matters.

Do the grant schemes have deadlines?

The current schemes are funded until 31 March 2027, and the application must be approved before the charger is installed: nothing can be claimed retrospectively. Amounts and eligibility are reviewed by the government, so the figures on this page were checked in September 2026 and we confirm the current position for your address when we prepare your quote.
